This year will mark the seventh year Fall Hacks has taken place at Simon Fraser University. Fall Hacks is an annual, beginner-first, 12 hour hackathon, intended to welcome new students into the world of competitive programming and foster the growing passions of recurring participants. Fall Hacks prioritizes the student experience in every way; from free software workshops for attendees, experienced mentorship help throughout the event, to generous meals to keep students fueled, Fall Hacks is designed to give back to the SFU computing science community. This year Fall Hacks will be on November 7th.
Students will participate in a team to bring a project to life, utilizing programming and design skills. They are given 10 hours to brainstorm, develop, and present their projects to industry judges; developing real-world skills for a competitive job market.
